Still life with 3rd grade

This was a new project for the 3rd grade class where we went through and talked about what a still life was and what a still life consist of.  After it was drawing the students came up with designs to put in the background.  I think they turned out pretty good.

Surrealism with 6th Grade

This has to be one of the hardest projects for the 6th Grade class. 

7th Grade Color Stripe

The 7th Graders just got done with a lesson that taught them how to shade using color pencils and how to do a Gray Scale.  This project combines both of previous lessons into one.  The students had to choose a photograph they wanted to draw, once that was selected they did a light outline of the whole object.  The next step was to decided where the color stripe was going to go.  Once decided they used the gray scale and their color scale to create their art work.  Here are a few examples. 

Angry Birds 2nd grade

Since all the classes have been drawing these birds already, I figured I would do a lesson to show them how to draw them correctly.  They really liked the idea of drawing something they clearly reconinze.  We talked about the size of the birds, overlapping, and background with this project.

Art Club Charcoal

This is the first time I worked with Charcoal with the Art club and Im super Proud of the way these pictures turned out.  We took pictures from magazines and then drew them out on an 18x24 piece of white paper and then went over them with the charcoal to add the shading.  We have hung these in the hallway and the other students have been having a bunch of positive complements to them. 

5th Grade Protractor Drawings

This is the most recent project with the 5th grade class.  We used protractors and over lapped them to create this picture.  Everytime they over lapped we had to change the colors,  We used crayons, color pencil, and markers to create this.
